RUBICON FR : (Fire Retardant) PVC Insulated House & Building Wires

Rubicon Manufactures 'House /Building Wires' with high conductive annealed plain copper conductors of 99.97% purity which are bunched to technical parameters that ensure flexibility and uniform resistance.

Rubicon FR House & Building wires are insulated with a Fire Retardant (FR) PVC Compound, specially to provide greater safety, which means extra protection against electric shocks, short circuits and fires.

Rubicon FR PVC Compound has a High Oxygen & Temperature Index compare to ordinary PVC insulated wires Our special FR compound has High Insulation Resistance and Di-electric strength. These properties help in restricting the spread of fire even at very high temperatures and also makes it suitable for working voltages up to and including 1100Volts, conforming to IS 694 1990.

Construction

Conductor: Flexible Bright Annealed 99.97% pure Electrolytic Grade Bare Copper -Insulation: Double layer FR grade PVC insulation with inner layer of natural PVC and very thin outer layer of colour PVC.
Colour: Red. Yellow, Blue, Black, Gray and Green.
Voltage Grade: up to and including 1100V
Specification : As per IS 694 1990 & IS 8130 for copper conductor.

2. This cable is an improved fire performance cable which meets the following requirements -
i) Oxygen Index - Critical oxygen index, is an index to resist the combustion of cable in the context of oxygen concentration in atmosphere, and measures >29 as per IS:10810 (Part 58) - 1998 and ASTM D-2863
ii) Temperature Index - It is the minimum temperature required to combust the cable at an oxygen concentration of 21%, and measures >250oC, as per IS:10810 (Part 64)-2003 and ASTM D-2863
